Co-Founder and Master Stylist
Jacquelyn Crabtree has always loved the beauty of people and seeing the sparkle in their eyes when she can help make them feel special. She started her pursuit of the hair world and finding the beauty in people at the young age of 15. She learned by watching her own stylist and would practice on all her friends, and their parents, until finally starting Cosmetology school at 17. Now, with over 25 years of experience she has given life to her dream and now owns one Aveda Lifestle Salon and two Aveda Concept Salons. Her first salon opened in East Sacramento in 2005, her downtown Davis location followed in 2008 and her third location in Natomas opened in late 2014. Her dream was helped made possible by her business partner Patricia Woodard and Patricia’s very special mom, Mary Jane. She has had the pleasure of helping many people’s eyes sparkle and feel special including her team, celebrities and the wonderful people who sit in her chair every day. She has trained with the best from Aveda Global Artists to Vidal Sassoon and has helped create many fashion shows and photo shoots over the years. Her dream is to someday open more salons and spas to continue to create common bonds between us all - as she calls them, “Strands.”
Dr. Patricia Woodward
Dr. Patricia Woodward has been part of the salon and spa world since meeting Jacquelyn in 1998. In fact it was her wonderful mother, Mary Jane that helped make this dream of “Strands Salons and Spas” come to life. She has attended many Aveda shows and traveled to Aveda’s headquarters in Minneapolis to experience the culture of Aveda at it’s finest. Patricia spends her time as a professor at California State University, Sacramento, teaching people the importance of health and safety for the body and the environment. Her passion for the environment and health goes hand in hand with Aveda’s mission and helped Strands Salons and Spas define their mission. When Dr. Woodward isn’t at the University teaching she can be seen helping keep Strands evolving and growing.
